Chelsea, the capital of New York City’s Art World, is home to the biggest galleries that feature large pieces of work. Artists from around the world come to this Manhattan district to present work in every media. The Chelsea Gallery District features a bunch of new exhibitions every Thursday evening in the summer.
Lower East Side (LES):
NYC’s Lower East Side features smaller galleries that take bigger risks. Artists exhibit their most experimental work in the 200 plus galleries in the district. There are openings to exhibits nearly every night in the LES.
